BADGP have traditionally held the AGM on a Thursday and if we book the corresponding date for 2027 (18th March 2027), it clashes with the Cheltenham Festival. This means whilst a meeting room is available for the event, rooms for members to stay are VERY expensive, and this is likely to have a knock on effect on accommodation throughout the area.

Moving the event back one week would then possibly be half term for some regions which may impact attendance.

Another option to be explored is changing the day from the traditional Thursday to another day, Tuesday or Wednesday being the obvious choices, as Monday and Friday are notoriously difficult days for travel.
